Cloud Licensing Features
Cloud licensing adds capacity and pressure visibility on top of classic licensing.
What you can see
Dashboard insights
- Cloud sync status (for example: ready, degraded, failed).
- Near-depletion pool count.
- Waiting member signals.
- Assignment error signals.
Cloud signals view
- Allotment pool health (consumed, allotted, available).
- Waiting members by SKU.
- Assignment errors with error details and timestamps.
Allotment pools view
- Pool pressure percentages for each SKU.
- Search and filtering for fast triage.
- Near-depletion markers to prioritize action.
Settings readiness
- Cloud readiness state and consent status.
- Detailed sync diagnostics and degraded reason when present.
- Re-consent entry points when required permissions are missing.
How this complements classic licensing
- Classic assign/unassign remains the primary write path.
- Cloud data enriches visibility and decision quality.
- If cloud read data is unavailable, the system falls back gracefully to classic behavior.
Prerequisites
- Supported Microsoft 365 commercial cloud environment.
- Cloud read permissions and admin consent configured.
- Cloud licensing feature flag enabled in deployment configuration.
Caveats
- Cloud queue fields can be partially available depending on Graph responses.
- Some identities in waiting/error signals may have limited resolution when upstream payloads are incomplete.
- Cloud write APIs are not required for the core documented flows in this MVP.
